The order matters more than the effort: a rabies vaccination given before the microchip was implanted does not count in most regimes, and a titer test drawn too early restarts a waiting period. All pets need to be microchipped with an ISO complaint chip before Rabies vaccination is administered and must appear on all documents of the pet.
Rabies and vaccinations
Rabies vaccination needs to be older than 3 months prior to export. Rabies vaccination to be administered at least 30 days prior to travel for a primary vaccination.
For Dogs: Annual 5-in-1, Lepto & Rabies
For Cats: Annual 3-in-1, Rabies
Tests and treatments
All dogs, cats, and ferrets who do not have proof of residency in a country that is classified by the World Organization of Animal Health as a Rabies-Free or Rabies Controlled for at least 6 months prior to import should have a rabies titer test before entering Morocco. Titre Test is required for high rabies country, and also recommended for pets entering Morocco with their owners who have non-residency visas. Rabies Titre Test is required with an equivalent result of 0.5 UI/ml or higher. It should be administered more than 30 days after the primary rabies vaccination. The test must be administered between 3 and 12 months prior to import.

Health certificate and permits
Model Health Certificate
Must be issued by certified veternarian within 3 days of entry and endorsed by of ficial veterinaian from the country of origin or provenance and possibly from a transit country. Must have the animals identification number and discription ofthe animal. Must also certify that, in said locality, it did not exist at the time of the departure, and it did not exist during the preceding 6 weeks, any case of contagious disease within the animals of these species.In addition, the animals must be accompanied by a certificate issued by the of ficial veterinarian of the exit border post certifying that the animals authenticated by the above-mentioned health certificate are recognized as healthy at the time of their embarkation.
Your pet must also have another in spection by a licensed veterinarian within 24 hours of traveling to Morocco. The in spection should be in cluded with the original certificate, however, it does not require endorsment.

Cats and dogs must be accompanied by their original documents.
Pets must enter Morocco via Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport. Pets can enter in the cabin, as checked baggage or air cargo.
Upon arrival in Morocco, your pet will be subject to a veterinary health control, performed by a veterinarian of the National Office of Sanitary Safety and Food products, in charge at the border post.
Customs of ficials are not always available for clearance and can take up to 48 hours to clear a pet.
It is highly recommended to use a clearing agent in Morocco to avoid these clearing times and a power of attorney will be required.

Other pets / CITES / extra rules
The Washington Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora, better known as the “Convention CITES ".
Travelers bringing with them species covered by the said convention must submit to Customs a "CITES" import permit.
This permit, valid for six (06) months, is issued by the Moroccan Directorate of Water and Forests and Soil Conservation on presentation of a "CITES" export permit issued by a management body of the country of origin.
When leaving Morocco, you will have to present to Customs the re-export permit.
