All domestic dogs and cats must be free of evidence of disease communicable to humans when examined at the entry airport.
Identification and microchip
All pets must have an ISO approved microchip implanted subcutaneously.
Tattoos are not accepted.
Rabies and vaccinations
Rabies vaccination more than 30 days from the travel.
Rabies blood test is necessary to enter in Angola from all countries that also require a blood test from pets traveling from Angola.
But is highly recommended for the pet to travel with this test because there is no authorized laboratory in Angola if the pet needs to travel to a low or free rabies country.

Dogs should be vaccinated against Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parvovirus and Parainfluenza.
Cats should be vaccinated against Feline Panleukopenia (Distemper), Viral Rhinotracheitis Calicivirus and Leukaemia
Tests and treatments
Rabies blood titer is required to enter, no less than 30 days from rabies vaccination for some countries.
Rabies blood test is necessary to enter in Angola from all countries that also require a blood test from pets traveling from Angola.
But is highly recommended for the pet to travel with this test because there is no authorized laboratory in Angola if the pet needs to travel to a low or free rabies country.

Dogs must be externally and in ternally dewormed within 10 days of departure.
Health certificate and permits
Veterinary Health Certificate to be issued 10 days prior to travel and must be endorsed by ministry vet.
Import permit is required. It is called licença Zoo-Sanitária. The Import Permit takes 5/7 days and is valid for 30 days.

- if the dog is traveling as cargo - apply for an Import Permit, airport handling and export clearance. The same documents will be required as for baggage.
