Whether you’re relocating, traveling, or adopting — we make sure your furry family arrives safely, wherever you go. The hard part is rarely the flight; it is lining the pet’s timeline up with your own.
Start with the date your pet can legally fly
Most relocations are planned around the day the family moves. A pet’s date is set by something else: the destination’s requirements. Some countries can be arranged in weeks. Others require a rabies antibody test followed by a waiting period, and those are counted in months. The first thing a consultation tells you is the earliest date your pet could travel — which is why we ask for your pet’s current vaccination status on the first call.

Moving with more than one pet
That is normal and it is handled per animal rather than per household. Each pet has its own measurements, its own crate and its own paperwork, even when they are travelling on the same flight. On the form, please include each pet’s information with the values separated by commas, i.e. Rex, Charlie, Sam.
If your dates move
They often do on a relocation. If you have to cancel your pet’s travel we will make our best effort to refund any money paid that has not been spent on hard costs, at the discretion of Furry Freight LLC — though where airlines or vendors will not refund us, we cannot return those funds. Generally, any cancellation less than 14 days from the travel date will result in less than a full refund. The full terms are on our deposit and refund policy, and the sooner you tell us a date has slipped the more of it can usually be saved.
Relocating on military orders
If you are on PCS orders please make sure to check the box on our form. We give discounts to service members and our staff will go the extra mile for you. This discount also applies to ETS and veterans. More on military moves.
Adopting from abroad
The requirements are the same whether the animal is coming home with you or coming to you for the first time — the destination’s rules apply to the animal, not to the reason for the journey. Tell us the situation on the free consultation and we will work the timeline back from there.

Should I move my pet before or after I move?
