No tick and tapeworm treatment is required but highly recommended.
Health certificate and permits
VHC is required and is valid for 14 days after issuance. The VHC must be issued by a licensed veterinarian in the origination country must complete the pet health certificate for Egypt, must be endorsed by the governing agency in the country of export that is responsible for the importand export of live animals.
Veterinarian must certify that the animal has been in spected and found to appear free of any in fectious or contagious diseases and has not been exposed to any thing that would endanger the health of other animals or the public, and that they have not come from an area quarantined for exposer to rabies.

Pets must be accompanied by a valid Government VHC. Issued at point of origin. (Your VHC valid 14 days from the date of issue) quarantine in case of suspicion will be maximum 15 days. (Charges EGP 1.50 excl. food) (EGP – Egyptian Pound)
Pet birds of any description may not be brought into Egypt either as cabin baggage, hold baggage or cargo; except live chicks if they meet all health requirements and are imported from in fected/endemic bird flu areas.
Egypt has no import tax on pets.

Egypt Air allows service animals to travel as checked in baggage and in the cabin of the aircraft. Animals weighing over 32kg must be transported as Cargo.

As of June 2017, Saudia Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, Lybia, Yemen, Maldives, have severed ties with Qatar. No transport to or from these countries will be permitted to import a pet to Qatar. You must be returning, in tending to reside or have a work visa.
