In Tajikistan, the Ministry of Agriculture (MOA) is the primary governing body for animal welfare, with its Central Administrative Board for Veterinary (in cluding the State Chief Veterinary Inspector) overseeing veterinary services. This board, along with regional and local veterinary organizations, implements and enforces regulations related to animal health and welfare. The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) also notes that the MOA issues specific resolutions on animal welfare and monitors the implementation of standardized practices.
