Kazakhstan at a glance
| Requirement | For Kazakhstan |
|---|---|
| Microchip | Recommended |
| Rabies | Rabies vaccine must be done within 1 year and at least 21 days prior export / import |
| Import permit Required | Yes, an import permit is required if there are more than 2 animals per owner |
| Quarantine | quarantine after vaccination for rabies before travel - 21 days |
| Minimum age to travel | Pets can be imported at the age of 4 months with valid rabies vaccination record |
| Customs clearance | If shipped as manifested cargo then you will need a Customs Broker, but not if shipped as accompanied move |
| Agent at destination | If accompanied and under one ticket then owner can freely go via check in, and will not need a agent |
Where this fits in the timeline. The order matters more than the effort: a rabies vaccination given before the microchip was implanted does not count in most regimes, and a titer test drawn too early restarts a waiting period. On a move we handle, we check your pet's existing dates against these rules on the free consultation before anything is booked.
