The order matters more than the effort: a rabies vaccination given before the microchip was implanted does not count in most regimes, and a titer test drawn too early restarts a waiting period. Import requirements

- Import permit normal process takes 4-5 weeks to obtain.
- Original Official Health Certificate must arrive with the pet/s. This health certificate must be issued by the government veterinarian in origin country. The pet/s can be examine between 5 days before departure and need to be found healthy and free from any clinical signs or Rabies and in fectious or contagious diseases.

Indonesia import permit only able to contain until 5 animals. Cat and Dog will be in separate import permit. If owner have more than 5 animals, the permit will be separate.
Recommendation Letter to Import dogs/cats issued by local authority in Indonesia.
Dog/Cat will be tested during the quarantine period in Indonesia for Rabies Antibody in Indonesian Lab appointed by the quarantine. The pet will be release after the test result available.

Rabies and vaccinations
Using killed-rabies vaccine and given at least 3 months old. Rabies Antibody Titre Test prior to applying import permit from Ministry of Agriculture in Indonesia and another Rabies antibody test done by Quarantine Authority upon arrival in Indonesia
Dog/cat:
Valid Rabies vaccination.
Other vaccinations are highly recommended.
Tests and treatments
Rabies Titer Test needed for applying import permit from all country. The test result valid for 1 year.
Internal & external parasite treatment prior to departure, not mandatory but highly recommended.
Health certificate and permits
Health certificate from private needed for applying import permit.
Original International Health Certificate must arrive with the animal, or the animal will be rejected and return to origin country. This health certificate must be issued by the government veterinarian in origin country. The pet/s can be examined between 5 days before departure and need to be found healthy and free from any clinical signs or Rabies and in fectious or contagious diseases.
Import permit from Ministry of Agriculture is mandatory and needs to be available before arrival or else the animal will be quarantine for longer period. If no import permit, the animal will be re-export.
Quarantine
Currently, dogs and cats must be quarantined for 7-14 days prior to arrival in Indonesia.
Restrictions and banned breeds
Embargo - All live animals coming from and Mainland People’s Republic of China (in cluding and Macau).
Some areas in Indonesia have had a rabies outbreak and Dogs and Cats cannot be imported to these regions – they in clude Bali, Lombok, Kepulauan Riau (in cluding Batam and Bintan), and Papua island.
Breed embargo: Pittbull and cross.
