Import requirements

The pet must be at least six months old after receiving all necessary vaccinations, in cluding rabies, and must be accompanied by a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian in the country of origin; there are no specific exceptions mentioned for pregnant females, but it's always recommended to consult with a vet before traveling with a pregnant animal.

Imports into GUADELOUPE also need to follow the requirements for FRANCE and EUROPEAN UNION - EU

Identification and microchip

Your pet's passport to enter Guadeloupe will in clude proof of microchip, rabies and other vaccinations, an import permit, and an in ternational export health certificate issued by a licensed veterinarian in the origination country.

Rabies and vaccinations

Required. If it is the pet’s first vaccination it is considered valid 21 days after its application. Booster vaccinations must be applied no less than 30 days and no more than 12 months from travel date.

Tests and treatments

Titer test must be administered if a pet is entering from a high-rabies country. If the test results are between acceptable limits, pets can enter Guadeloupe no sooner than 3 calendar months after the blood was drawn. Not required if it is not coming from a high-rabies country.

Cats and dogs must be dewormed for round and tapeworms and treated for external parasites (ticks, fleas, mites).

Health certificate and permits

Quarantine

Pets entering Guadeloupe will not be quarantined upon arrival if they meet the required import regulations.

No, as long as you have the necessary documentation. If you are unfamiliar with export procedures, using a customs broker familiar with French and Guadeloupe regulations can simplify the process.
