Contact Ministry of Agriculture to request an Import Permit application. They will fax the application form.

The application should state age, sex, color and breed of dog and/or cat, also port of entry, time of arrival and carrier.

The Import Permit must be presented to the Customs Department at the port of entry and must be accompanied by a health certificate showing that the dog or cat was vaccinated against Rabies, Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parvovirus and Parainfluenza within the last 12 months. Rabies shot should be not newer than six weeks. Provide a Rabies Certificate signed by the issuing veterinarian. The shots can NOT be less than 30 days old.

Rabies and vaccinations

Before entering Grenada, pets require a rabies vaccination and other vaccinations, along with a health certificate. The rabies vaccination must be administered between 30 days and 12 months prior to arrival. A health certificate issued by a veterinarian is required within two weeks of arrival.

Dogs must be vaccinated against distemper, parvovirus, hepatitis, leptospirosis and parainfluenza.

Cats must be vaccinated against panleukopenia, not less than a 30 days prior to travel and not more than a 12 months prior to travel.
